TAYLOR (31):
An FBI field specialist haunted by trauma and a lost pregnancy. As her own body begins mutating, Taylor must choose between controlling evolution or accepting humanity’s place within it.

FORBES (33):
Taylor’s former military mentor and partner. A containment-driven agent whose growing mutations force him to confront the limits of control.

LUCY (21):
A mysterious girl raised deep within the Amazon by the hidden Reza tribe. Capable of synchronizing with the evolving natural system, Lucy may represent the first stable step in humanity’s next phase.

SYNOPSIS

In 2018, a coordinated swarm of lethal flies wipes out an attacking bear pack in Yosemite with unnatural precision. Years later, FBI field specialist TAYLOR and her mentor FORBES investigate escalating global anomalies as animals move with hive-like coordination, forests react intelligently, and people begin exhibiting terrifying mutations. Project DEOXY soon classifies the phenomenon as an extinction-level evolutionary event.

Clues lead Taylor into the Amazon rainforest and toward LUCY, a mysterious young woman protected by the isolated Reza tribe, who believe she can synchronize with the evolving natural system spreading across Earth. But the radical Bartok faction believes humanity must be forced to evolve through collapse and conflict.

​

After a violent raid destroys the Reza village, Taylor rescues Lucy and abandons DEOXY’s containment mission. Together with Forbes, they flee to New York as an eight-minute mutagenic rainstorm sweeps across the planet, rapidly rewriting dormant DNA. Humans convulse, animals synchronize, and civilization begins reorganizing into something terrifyingly interconnected.

As DEOXY and the Bartok hunt Lucy through collapsing streets, subways, and Central Park, Taylor’s own mutations intensify while Forbes struggles between duty and transformation. Lucy alone understands the truth: evolution is not attacking humanity — it is trying to reconnect it.

​

The conflict culminates at a rural airstrip where DEOXY forces, Bartok operatives, and synchronized wildlife converge. Forbes sacrifices everything to help Taylor and Lucy escape into the Amazon, where Lucy returns to Ao Ao, the origin biome of the evolving system.

Months later, Taylor watches her infant stare in wonder as synchronized dolphins crest offshore and birds redraw the sky overhead. The world has not ended. It has evolved.
